Scholastic Everyday Book Boxes are exciting school library book sets with a mixture of fiction and nonfiction titles. They use the Lexile measure to match text difficulty with reading level, to nurture individual development.
My books, ‘If We Could Meet Dinosaurs’, ‘Charles, The Boy Who Loved Beetles’, ‘How Long Do Animals Live?’ and ‘Will It Rain’ are part of the Yellow Book Box 3, aimed loosely at Grade 2 (US) or early KS2 (UK).
I love short stories, sometimes so short they can be read in just one sitting. The best ones make you want to start reading something else straight away. As a writer, I’ve contributed to some exciting Young Reader adventure series with just eight or nine chapters.
I’m currently working on an idea for a Middle Grade story, which is longer and aimed at readers aged 8 and up.
